About Mejais

The League of Legends draft assistant

Mejais is a League of Legends draft assistant — a desktop companion that helps you win the draft before the game even starts. Every ranked game of League of Legends begins in Champion Select, where picks, bans, team composition, and lane matchups quietly decide a large part of the outcome. Mejais is built around that moment. It is a lightweight champion select helper that watches the draft as it happens and tells you, in plain terms, which champions give your team the best chance to win.

This page explains what Mejais is, who it is for, and how each part of the app works, so that whether you arrived here searching for a LoL draft tool, a pick and ban assistant, a counter pick tool, or simply a smarter way to climb ranked, you can see exactly what Mejais does before you install it.

What Mejais is

At its core, Mejais is a draft analysis tool for League of Legends. It reads the live Champion Select in your League client and turns the raw picks and bans into clear recommendations. Instead of guessing whether a champion is a good blind pick, a safe counter, or a strong synergy choice, you get the answer ranked in real time. Mejais is informational only — it is a companion that advises, never an automation tool. It does not play the game for you, dodge queues, or touch the client beyond reading the public draft state.

Mejais runs as an in-game overlay on the Overwolf platform, so the recommendations sit neatly on top of the League client during Champion Select and disappear when you do not need them. There is no account to create and nothing to configure before your first draft.

Who Mejais is for

Mejais is for League of Legends players who want to draft better and climb ranked: solo queue players trying to break out of a division, flex players coordinating a team composition, one-tricks protecting a narrow champion pool, and newer players who simply want help understanding which champions counter which. If you have ever stared at the Champion Select timer wondering what to pick into the enemy team, Mejais was built for exactly that situation.

Live draft analysis in Champion Select

The heart of Mejais is its live draft analysis. While a Champion Select is active in the League client, Mejais automatically mirrors every pick and ban from both teams and continuously ranks the best available champions for your role. Each suggestion is scored on three dimensions so you can see not just that a champion is strong, but why:

Because the analysis updates with every pick and ban, your recommendations stay accurate as the draft develops — early picks lean on raw strength, while later picks lean more heavily on counters and synergy as the enemy composition takes shape.

A champion pool built around you

A draft assistant is only useful if it recommends champions you can actually play, so Mejais is built around your personal champion pool. On the Profile tab you choose the champions you are comfortable on, and your favorites get a small score boost so the champions you main win the close calls over options you have never touched. The result is personalized draft recommendations rather than a generic tier list — Mejais points you toward the strongest pick within your own champion pool, for your role, against this specific enemy team.

Counter picks and lane matchups

Knowing your matchup is half of winning lane, and Mejais makes counter picking straightforward. For any champion you can see its most favorable and most challenging lane matchups, drawn from how those matchups actually play out across thousands of ranked games. During the draft, the counter score highlights champions that historically beat what the enemy has picked, so you can answer a threatening enemy pick with confidence instead of locking in blind and hoping.

Draft simulation and practice

Mejais is not only for live games. With the built-in draft simulation you can build out a full draft by hand to prepare for specific matchups, experiment with team compositions, or test how a champion pool holds up against a popular meta pick. Click an empty slot to open the champion grid, fill in both teams, and Mejais evaluates the draft exactly as it would in a real Champion Select. It is a practical way to study drafting and counter picks away from the pressure of a ranked timer.

Champion statistics

For players who want the underlying numbers, the Champs tab is a compact League of Legends champion statistics browser. It shows per-champion win rates, the roles a champion is most commonly played in, and the matchups that favor or threaten it. It is a quick way to check whether a champion is in a strong spot before committing it to your pool, or to understand why Mejais is recommending — or avoiding — a particular pick.

Where the recommendations come from

Mejais bases its advice on aggregated statistics from high-ELO ranked League of Legends matches — win rates, role distributions, team synergies, and lane counters. Working from high-ELO data means the recommendations reflect how champions perform when they are played well, which keeps the meta read sharp. Those statistics are anonymized aggregates: they contain win and play rates and matchup ratios, and deliberately no player names, match identifiers, or timestamps. The numbers are refreshed regularly so the app keeps pace with patches and the shifting meta.

Private and read-only by design

Mejais is a read-only companion. It reads only the public Champion Select session and your client's region, processes everything on your own machine, and never asks for an account, your summoner name, or your Riot credentials. There is no telemetry or tracking that profiles you. In short, it is a draft assistant that helps you win without collecting your data. You can read the full details in the Privacy Policy.

Built on Overwolf

Mejais is distributed on the Overwolf platform, the same trusted home as many well-known League of Legends overlays and companion apps. Overwolf provides the in-game overlay that lets Mejais display live recommendations on top of Champion Select, and it handles distribution and updates so the app stays current with the League client.

Not affiliated with Riot Games

Mejais is an independent, unofficial third-party tool. It is not created, endorsed, sponsored, or supported by Riot Games. It performs no automation, sends no inputs to the game, and is designed to respect Riot Games' policies for third-party applications. You can read more about how Mejais stays within those rules on the Compliance page, and about your rights as a user in the Terms of Service.

The person behind Mejais

Mejais is a solo project, built and maintained by a single student developer. I have played League of Legends since Season 3 and currently sit around high Emerald to low Diamond, so Mejais is shaped by the same ranked grind it is meant to help with — every feature exists because I wanted it in my own Champion Select. It is a personal passion project rather than a venture-backed company, which means the app stays focused, lightweight, and honest about what it does: help you draft better, with no accounts, no data harvesting, and no bloat.

Getting started

To start drafting with Mejais, install it from the Mejais homepage, open it, and launch a League of Legends Champion Select. The overlay appears automatically and begins ranking your best picks and bans. Build your champion pool on the Profile tab once, and from then on every draft is tailored to the champions you actually play. If you have questions, you can reach the project on X, TikTok, or by email at mejaisbusiness@proton.me.
