This page describes how Mejais complies with Riot Games' developer and League Client (LCU) API
policies and with the Overwolf platform's requirements. Mejais is an independent, unofficial tool
and is not endorsed by Riot Games.
In one line
Mejais is a strictly read-only draft assistant. It displays statistics during
Champion Select. It never automates the game, never reads game memory, and never sends your
League of Legends data off your device.
What Mejais does
Mejais mirrors the live Champion Select state from your local League client and recommends the
strongest available champions from aggregated high-ELO match statistics. It runs on the Overwolf
platform on Windows.
Two separate data paths
Mejais keeps two paths strictly separate:
The app you install uses only the local League Client (LCU) interface. It uses
no Riot Web API key, makes no Riot Web API calls, and never transmits your data off your machine.
Our back-end statistics pipeline uses Riot's public Web API to build the
anonymized statistics shipped with the app. End users never run it and never handle a key. Only
aggregated counts are kept — no match IDs, summoner names, account identifiers, or timestamps.
League Client (LCU) API policy
Registered & notified. Mejais is registered on the Riot Developer Portal,
and Riot is notified before each public release that the app uses the League Client API.
Korea excluded. In line with Riot's policy, the live in-client features are not
offered to players in the Korea region.
Minimal endpoints. The app reads only the Champion Select session (no Web API
equivalent) and the client region (to enforce the Korea exclusion). You build your champion pool
by choosing champions in the app — there is no League-client import.
No rate-limit bypass, no data brokering. The LCU is never used to bypass Web
API limits, and no LCU data is forwarded to any server or third party.
Anti-cheat / Vanguard
Mejais performs no memory reading and no process injection of its own. It reads only the local LCU
interface and, in-game, renders through Overwolf's vetted overlay runtime. This is the category of
tool Riot expects to keep functioning under Vanguard — Mejais is not a memory-reading external tool.
Game integrity
Read-only: no automation, scripting, auto-dodge, or queue manipulation.
Shows only information already visible to you (your own draft) plus aggregated public stats —
no prediction of hidden enemy picks, no dodging guidance.
No modification of League files, memory, or network traffic.
No tracking or de-anonymizing of players.
Privacy & security
No account or login; no collection of your name, email, IP, or Riot credentials.
All data read from the local client stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
No analytics, telemetry, or third-party tracking SDKs in the app.
The app runs sandboxed (isolated renderer, no Node integration, strict Content-Security-Policy,
local-only content).
Any advertising is served exclusively through Overwolf's managed advertising platform, following
Overwolf's advertising and game-compliance policies — no third-party ad embeds, no ads during active
gameplay, and no interference with the League client. Mejais does not sell Riot data and carries no
betting or gambling advertising.
